The former Governor of Bayelsa State, Mr. Henry Seriake Dickson has finally bowed out of office after an eight-year tenure in office.
Former Governor Dickson, in a brief farewell address on his Twitter handle, admitted he could have made mistakes in those whole 8 years of his leadership but thanked his party, the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] and Bayelsans for the opportunity to have played his part.
He tweeted: “To God be all the glory! Thank you Bayelsans for the love and support you showed me this past 8 years. I am fallible human and could have made mistakes in those whole 8 years of my leadership.”
Continuing, he said:
“One thing I know is that I put in my best to ensure that good governance was rendered to the people of Bayelsa within the period. I and my family are eternally grateful for this opportunity and we do not take it for granted.”
