KANO FIRE SERVICE SAVES N1.8B WORTH PROPERTIES IN ELEVEN MONTHS – MUSA DISO
Sager Madaki, Managing Director Fire Service Kano State has said his
department saved properties worth N1, 867,038, 101.00 from being
consumed by fire between 1st January and 31st November 2019.
The Managing Director disclosed that for the period under review, the
fire service department has attended fire call to 716, while 170 cases
said to be false call was raised by the people of Kano.
Madaki who made the revelation while briefing the journalists on the
activities of his department, said that 735 persons were rescued alive
while about 108 people lost their lives within the stipulated months.
He explained that properties destroyed by fire for the period under
review was valued at N663, 738,000.
He commended the Kano State Government under the leadership of Dr.
Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for making the Kano State Fire Service best
among equal in the country saying that it is no longer a secret that
Kano State Fire Service has all required infrastructural facilities
which is provided by Ganduje administration that will enhance the
department to operate successfully beyond any reasonable doubt.
The managing director also hails the present administration for
providing three ambulance and five water tankers to the fire service
for the successful operation. He call on the people of Kano state to
support Ganduje administration in order to move the commercial nerve
centre  to a greater height.
