AHDT, UK OFFER FREE MEDICAL SERVICE TO 4,000 PEOPLES IN KAZAURE – MUSA DISO
As part of the activities towards improving the health standard of the people, the Kazaure Health Improvement Project in collaboration with African Health care Development Trust (AHDT), UK has concluded a plan to offer free medical services to over 4,000 people in Kazaure Emirate.
Dr. Abubakar Muhammed Zubairu, Team Leader African Healthcare Development Trust AHDT, UK said the exercise was part of their social responsibility to the public adding that the AHDT, UK was non-governmental organization, established primarily to serve as charity organization by group of Nigerian Doctors in Europe purposely to assist the public especially those countries in Africa that need free medical service.
Dr. Zubairu said, since the inception of the organization, the AHDT, UK has provide humanitarian services to different parts of African countries to consolidate and compliment the government effort towards enhancing the quality of healthcare service to the public. Dr. Abubakar who revealed this to journalists in Kazaure recently, noted that the programme has made great impact on the lives of the people in Africa saying that the team which comprise of 32 doctors, nursing and non doctors are expected to carried out a 7 days free medical and surgical services in the area of cataract, surgery and general surgery i.e. hernia and medical cases including children. He commended the Kazaure Progressive forum for organizing the event.
In his remark, Dr. Mustapha Hassan, Chief Medical Director CMD Kazaure General Hospital of Jigawa State described the outreach as tangible and significant adding that it was a complete package with a team of specialists assemble for different cases. He said no amount of government effort in the pursuit of healthcare development will yield fruit if the stake holders remain on the sideline without recognition and active participation. Dr. Mustapha said about 200 people with eye problem will get free treatment and another 200 patients suffering from hernia are also expect to be freely treated during the exercise. The CMD said the free medical service has brought a relief to the people of the Emirate and beyond and the medical service were brought to our door step free of charge.
The Engineer Salisu Umar, Chairman Kazaure Emirate Progressive Forum has expressed his gratitude to the Emir of Kazaure HRH Najib Hussain Adamu and Walin Kazaure Alhaji Babangida Hussain for their unflinching support and untiring effort towards the success of the exercise. He also thank the ministry of health Jigawa State and the Management of Kazaure General Hospital for the role they have played to ensure the success of the program. The engineer explained that everything we are doing here wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the state government as well as contribution from the stake holders especially the Emir of kazaure HRH Najib Hussain Adamu and the Walin Kazaure Alhaji Babangida Hussain. Umar who is also the chairman, friends of the general hospital kazaure commended all the people who have actively contribute towards the success of the exercise.
